KNOWLEDGE / IMPORT AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manufacturer, importer and service provider responsibilities

Who is responsible for a passport, what may be delegated and why a final confirmation does not remove liability.

Identify the responsible operator

The economic operator placing a battery on the market must ensure that the passport exists and that its information is accurate, complete and current. Your actual role in the supply chain matters more than the job title used in a commercial agreement.

Delegate tasks with clear agreements

The responsible operator can authorise another operator in writing to act on its behalf. Data collection, technical hosting and dossier preparation can be organised with a service provider. Delegation does not automatically transfer legal responsibility.

A confirmation step is not a liability waiver

The customer’s final review or registration click can document approval and support quality checks. It does not by itself exclude responsibility or liability. Define who supplies, verifies, updates and grants access to data, and how errors are corrected.

AccuZegel’s role

AccuZegel supports factory-data collection, preparation of passports and QR codes, and ongoing dossier management. Scope, timing and responsibilities are agreed before work starts. The online portal is in development.
