A route to the individual passport
The QR code referred to in Article 13(6) provides access to the battery passport and is linked to a unique identifier. A code pointing only to a general product or company page does not create an individual battery passport.
Technical requirements
Article 77 refers to the ISO/IEC 15459 series or equivalent standards for the QR code and unique identifier. Consult the current provisions and applicable standards when selecting an identification scheme. The passport must also meet requirements for structured, machine-readable and interoperable information.
Documents and technology choices
A PDF can be supporting evidence but cannot by itself provide every required passport function. Blockchain is not mandatory. Choose technology that supports the legal information, accessibility, access-control and continuity requirements.
Brand mark and product label
The QR code in the AccuZegel brand logo links to our website. It is not the legally required label for an individual battery. A production label must be designed around the actual battery identifier and applicable marking requirements.
